If you
want to learn about the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, in a
non-threatening atmosphere, then this is the course for you.
Designed particularly for people with little (or no) church background,
it explains a range of subjects in ordinary language, with opportunities
for you to ask your own questions on every subject.
Do you
know what your life is for?
Is
there an after-life?
Is
there a God?!
Is
there a future?
Whether you have very deep questions or you are just curious about
things, Alpha will give you an opportunity to explore further.
The
Alpha course lasts ten weeks, and each week has the same format.
You start with a light meal, then watch a DVD on the week's topic, and
after that gather in small groups to discuss (or just listen to others
discuss) questions arising from the DVD.
Your
Opportunity
We run
Alpha courses as and when there are sufficient people to make up
at least a home-based group.
So,
what are you waiting for?
Contact
the Kings Church Office on 0118 961 9876 to register your
interest in attending an introductory Alpha supper, and we will
give you the start date of the next course.

Madeleine Bunting, The Guardian
"What
Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission,
rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions - life and death
and their meaning."
