Summer Programme

In addition to our series on John's Gospel, we are running alpha courses for those interested in knowing more about the Christian faith.

Teaching in Kings Church

We believe that what the Bible teaches is relevant and meaningful to us today. We aim through Sunday mornings, seminars and cell discussions, to apply the principles for living that the Bible gives us.

      Sermon Notes!

From Sunday 15th April 2007 we will be issuing Notes to accompany the morning teaching sessions.  We need your feedback to tell us how well these are working for you, so please let Iain Bissett know what you feel about them.

Biblical Studies and History of Theology Notes

Between 1985 and 1990 Iain Bisset, Eric Bird and Andy Nutt ran a School of Theology for Kings Church members in Reading. It consisted of about eighty sessions over four years and was divided between Biblical Studies and the History of Theology. The original typed documents for the course have been digitalised and are presented here.

  Biblical Studies course notes

The Biblical Studies notes are written on each book of the bible. They present an overview of all the books of the bible with the purpose of giving a more comprehensive understanding of the Bible as a whole.

You should find the notes particularly helpful if you want to study the bible more deeply for your personal study or for teaching others.

  The History of Theology notes

The History of Theology notes combine Church History and how particular bible truths were ‘hammered out’ and stated very clearly by the church at specific times during the last 2000 years.

The notes were produced by Eric Bird some 20 years ago and may need revising. He intends to check them for accuracy and turn them into something more like a book in the future.
